A conference about
Security and Disaster Policy and Education will be held March 17 and
18, 2016 in Skopje, Macedonia. Papers are invited from faculty
scholars, researchers, and students based on their research on three
themes:
- Education strategies for teaching emergency and disaster
preparedness and response
- Policy considerations for keeping communities safe and secure
- Security in the Balkans: Impact of Unemployment, Organized
Crime, Terrorism and Migration
Deadline for submissions is January 15, 2016. Notification of
acceptance will be February 1, 2016. To submit a paper for
consideration, send an extended abstract of 300-500 words to
uvuconference@gmail.com. Full papers will also be considered.
All submissions will be peer-reviewed. Include authors' names,
affiliation, and contact information. Indicate whether you would be
willing to serve as a respondent to another paper.
Final papers should be suitable for a 45 minute presentation and no
more than 5,000 words. Presentations should aim to be accessible and
lively as part of constructive, collaborative, informal sessions.
Student presentations are encouraged. |
