Glenn Beck - you're the idiot

I watched Glenn Beck's May 16th show. He called Ron Paul an idiot. It's not the first time. This time he mocked Congressman Paul who said that 9/11 wouldn't have happened except for our foreign policy. Ron Paul thinks we shouldn't be involved in the business of other countries. Instead we should be neutral and mind our own business. Beck claimed that the only way to handle terrorists is to kill them faster than they kill us. Go figure.

Glenn Beck, you're the idiot. We'll never have the manpower or the resources to kill all the terrorists in the world, if that is our policy. More terrorists will rise to replace the ones we kill. And we will never be safe, by following a policy of pre-emptive strikes.

Something else needs to be done and I agree with Ron Paul that we should not be involved in the shaping the affairs of other countries. We have enough to worry about in our country, let alone meddling in the problems of other countries. Israel is a prime example. We would be better off being neutral in the Middle East. Israel has proven time and again that she can take care of herself.

We can continue to be trading partners, but when we allow our need to for trade to shape our policy we're making a mistake. Oil is an example. We don't need to protect corporate interests abroad nor should we become so dependent on foreign goods that we make unhealthy alliances or invade other countries. Let's build our own economy and business and, when major corporations find they need to ship jobs off shore, let's send them off shore too.
