Utah left out in the cold

A McCain/Huckabee Repubican ticket would leave Utah voters in a quandary. Utahns have supported Republicans since FDR. Although he is a liberal wolf masquerading in a sheep's clothing, Utahns will support McCain, but Huckabee carries different baggage.

Huckabee is unsuitable because he has offended Mormon sensibilities too many times. He has used the anti-Mormon card too often in his campaign against Mitt Romney. It may have won him Evangelical votes, but it has turned off another important segment of the Republican party. Mormons are the 4th largest religion in America, with almost 6 million members, most of whom vote Republican. Their votes make a difference particularly in the largely Republican west.

See politico.com for an understanding of how Utahns view Huckabee.
