Obama sees drop in support among whites
One of the consequences of President Obama's off-the-cuff statements
that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in the Gates' arrest was a
drop in support among whites. One poll indicated he dropped from 53
to 46 percent. He needs that support if he is to get universal health
care passed through Congress.
