Measure requests for participation
  1. A request for participation occurs when a group member requests others to contribute to the group.
  2. A request for participation in not the same as asking people to vote.  Nor is it the same as asking people to clarify, repeat or elaborate on something said previously. 
  3. Mark requests for participation on the transcript with the letters “RP”.
  4. Count the number of times each person made a request and enter the number in column 2.
  5. Total column 2 and use the total to calculate percentages for column 3.
